Lill the Pill

A few days ago, we took Lilly with us to a friend's house.
I'm not sure what kind of dog they have, but I believe it is some kind of Terrier, like "Toto" in The Wizard of Oz, but brown. They invited "Lill" to have a play-date with their dog, Maggie.

We walked into the house and Maggie was outside with her young owner, "E".
"E" was holding Maggie and Maggie began what I will call "screaming"
(if a dog can do this, that is what it sounded like- it was a little freaky!).

I have seen many types of dogs in various environments, and I have NEVER heard what came out of this dog's mouth! It was screaming!!!!
As we walked toward the screen door, Maggie continued to scream until she was put down.
Lilly was quite curious so they began saying "hello",
sniffing each other in the rears and going in circles.
They seemed to be getting along for a while, until Lil started acting like a pill! Lill can be somewhat irritating as she continues to follow you, jump on you and sniff you. Maggie was obviously getting irritated and tried running away, to no avail, so she ran to the backyard and hid in a large plant area.
Lill was sniffing and exploring...somewhat clueless as to where Maggie was.

My friend and I were watching the dogs and laughing as we saw Maggie making a feeble attempt to get away from Lill.
I commented, "Yes, Lill the Pill" and my girlfriend responded, "Mag the Hag".

We lost it!!

I thought this was hilarious and a great name for a "DOG-BLOG- Lill the Pill and Mag the Hag".
Wouldn't that be a great little blog for dog lovers.....er, owners?

It gets better....
Yesterday, another friend came to drop off her son for a play-date and she brought her dog...
Lucy.
Lucy is a 7 year old Lhasa apso.
Not the friendliest dog in the world and was obviously annoyed by Lilly.
I felt bad. It was as if this grouchy old lady came to visit a 15 year old peppy teenager and didn't like her.

When they left, my youngest commented that it was too bad that Lucy didn't get along with Lilly.
He also added, "Lill the Pill and Mag the Hag got along, but what about Lucy the Floozy?"
( Nacho also uses this word)

We all just cracked up!!!

For those of you who don't know what a "Floozy" is, it is slang for a woman who is loose, or flirtatious, (keeping it PG), if you know what I mean!
Too FUNNY!!!!

Lill the Pill

This blog is called, "Girl, Boy, Boy, Dog" because these are my children.
"Wait a minute", you say," a dog is not one of your children".
I respond, "Well, you must not have a dog, or like us, a LILLY".
She is a super cute, white Maltese that is just plain weird- weirder than most dogs we've ever had growing up.
But poor Lil did spend her first months behind a glass window in a pet store that I swore I would never buy a dog from. (maybe that is what added to her neurosis)

Of course, "Back in the day" we never bought dogs, we would just find them...on the street...wandering around, waiting to be picked up by someone. Can anyone relate?
Also, THOSE dogs were always outside. I can hear my father now," Animals belong outside".
Not Lilly- she is a spoiled OC brat-dog.
She is an "inside" dog, who sleeps comfortably with her owner, Kiana.

I call her lovingly, "Lill the Pill".

In dog years she is 14 years old ( 2 in human years) and oddly enough, she acts just like a teenager, or pill!

She can be defiant like a teenager...I'll throw the ball, she'll get it and bring it back, I'll throw it, she'll bring it back, I'll throw it and then she'll just prance somewhere else!

She also will go for the French Kiss, so don't ever lean down to pet her, as she will jump right up and try to lick you right in the mouth. It scares most people but it only takes one time to learn your lesson! Unfortunately, we have seen where that tongue of hers has been!

She doesn't bark much EXCEPT when I get on the phone! THEE most irritating time for her to bark. If I go towards her, of course she continues barking, while running away and looking back at me!

She'll jump up to you as if she wants to be picked up, but when you lean over, she runs away while looking back at you!

And sometimes, while we are watching T.V. and she wants attention, she will just start barking at us! If we get up to scold her, you'll never guess what she does! Right, she runs away while looking back at you!

And does she get excited?
YES...
She has been potty trained for about a year and recently, I came home from the gym and picked Lilly up, was giving her some attention and got her so excited she peed right on me!!!!! Ugghhhhhhhhh!

When you have children, you get what you get. You don't know the personality until the baby grows and you live with him/her.
When you bring home a pet, you get what you get. You also don't know the personality until it grows and you live with it.

She is neurotic, but we love her.

Part dog- part child...she's my 4th.

Run Like Heck!

This morning on our way to school, my daughter told me she will be running the mile in P.E. I told her to "Run like heck!" and my 8 year old son said, "Mommy, who is Heck?" Made me giggle! Love my little guy's innocence!

Girl-Boy-Boy-Dog

This blog is going to be about my kids and the funny things they do. I would love for others to share their funny stories about their kids, too!
What prompted me to finally start this blog today is that my two boys, (ages 8 and 10 years) were talking about someone at school who was peeing into the toilet while another boy was peeing in it, too!
Then, that led to my older one talking about "So-and-so" who can pee into the toilet "like from 5 feet away" as he pretended he was shooting his pee from 5 feet away!
Boys are weird!!!!!
I will NEVER understand them,
but they bring so much joy and laughter to my life!
Thank you GOD, for my boys!
